Power and Performance
2026 Volkswagen Tiguan
The new Volkswagen Tiguan offers you a choice of two engines to get the power or efficiency you prefer. The standard turbocharged four-cylinder powerplant generates 201 horsepower while earning up to 34 mpg on the highway in front-wheel drive models. For easier passing and merging onto highways around Kirkland, a 268-horsepower version of that same engine is available.
2026 Chevy Equinox
The new Chevy Equinox only offers one engine. This turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain only generates 175 horsepower. It also achieves just 29 mpg on the highway in its most efficient configuration.
2026 Nissan Rogue
The new Nissan Rogue is also limited to just one engine. Its three-cylinder powerplant only makes 201 horsepower, matching the Tiguan's base engine, but falling short of the Tiguan's optional powertrain. It does return slightly better fuel economy at 36 mpg highway.
2026 Toyota RAV4
The new Toyota RAV4 provides one 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain available in two power levels. The standard version (with front-wheel drive) produces 226 horsepower. However, the stronger all-wheel drive variant only generates 236 ponies - much less than the Tiguan's available 268 horsepower.
2026 Honda CR-V
The 2026 Honda CR-V is underpowered when compared to the VW Tiguan. Its strongest available engine - a 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid - only produces 204 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque.
Interior Quality and Cargo Capacity
2026 Volkswagen Tiguan
Like most SUVs, the VW Tiguan has a fairly basic interior in lower trims, with cloth seats and some hard plastic trim. However, higher models get genuine, quilted leather upholstery and walnut veneer trim. Families in Bellevue can store all their luggage or road trip supplies behind the rear seats of the Tiguan, which provides 33.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the back seats upright.
2026 Chevy Equinox
The Chevy Equinox offers optional synthetic leather in higher trims. It also only has 29.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats.
2026 Nissan Rogue
The Nissan Rogue has a handsome cabin, but it only provides 31.6 cubic feet of room behind the second row of seats.
2026 Toyota RAV4
The Toyota RAV4 delivers slightly more cargo space with its rear seats upright, offering 37.8 cubic feet of room. However, its base model has too much hard plastic trim.
2026 Honda CR-V
The 2026 Honda CR-V's entry-level trim is awash in dark gray plastic, although it has a bit more cargo room behind the back seats, providing 39.3 cubic feet of space.
Technology
2026 VW Tiguan
With a good infotainment system, the miles melt away quickly because you remain entertained on long voyages. The new Volkswagen Tiguan comes standard with a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. Redmond drivers will like the standard wireless device charger to keep their phones juiced up during their journeys.
2026 Chevy Equinox
The Chevy Equinox comes equipped with an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. If you want a smartphone charger, you must add the optional Convenience Package II.
2026 Nissan Rogue
The Nissan Rogue's standard infotainment touchscreen is only eight inches long. You must pay more for a higher trim if you want a larger display or wireless device charging.
2026 Toyota RAV4
The Toyota RAV4 comes standard with a 10.5-inch touchscreen display. A wireless phone charger is optional.
2026 Honda CR-V
The 2026 Honda CR-V only offers a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen. Additionally, you must purchase a higher trim to get a digital instrument display - which is standard in the Tiguan.
