Service rep was great but was not expecting to wait 1.5 hrs for "express" oil change.

The 60k service which is part of my additional service pack was not explained to me in detail at the start. This resulted in waiting at the lounge for 1.5 hours and later once it was explained I had to go and come back at my expense. I still had to pay $250 approx to change the brake fluid (which could have been done in 50k miles) Overall a very confusing and expensive experience, wouldn’t recommend this service center.

Brought my 2023 GTI in for its 20k warranty service. Car has <6k miles. Appt. Went fine. Next day I used Ross Tech scanner and found P0148 code. Called dealership to learn if they saw this. Spoke with Maribel, service manager, she said they don’t scan for codes. We discussed this and I expressed that isn’t a thorough way to service a car, you have a tool available to find faults therefore it should be used. She disagreed and stated if the check engine light isn’t on then there’s no problem. She expressed no interest in seeing car again to determine issue so I scheduled an appt with University VW. In the interim I’ve done additional testing and found fuel pump pressure issues. Will be addressed by University VW. Poor experience with Kirkland VW, lack of thoroughness and lack of care.

You need to improve your planning process. I dropped off my car at 7 a.m. on Friday and didn’t get it back for five days, even though the actual work took only 1–2 hours. The rest of the time, the car just sat on your lot while I had to rely on Uber for commuting. No one even offered an apology.
